Methodist Hospital’s mission is to improve the health of its patients and community through innovation and excellence in care, education, research and service. Methodist Hospital provides health services to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Critical to this mission is the charitable support provided by caring donors through Methodist Health Foundation. Third party insurance would not be adequate to meet this mission.
Areas supported by the Foundation include acute and critical care programs and services, patient assistance programs, physician and nursing fellowships, medical research, medical education, community health initiatives and equipment/facilities upgrades.
Financial contributions provide necessary resources to maintain the highest level of patient care. Your gift will helps to ensure an improved quality of life for the citizens of Indiana, today and into the future.
A donor may wish to make an unrestricted gift to the Foundation, or elect to designate physician or nursing fellowships, capital needs, or hospital services and programs as the recipient of their gifts. Unrestricted gifts to the Foundation are utilized at the discretion of the Board of Directors and are significant to our ability to provide financial resources for areas where needs are most critical and urgent.
Donors are further able to designate their gift(s) be utilized in full at the time of gifting, or to use their gift(s) to establish a permanent named endowment fund. Endowment Funds are crucial to Methodist Hospital as their principle is never spent and they provide a perpetual stream of interest income to support the purpose for which they were established.
Your entire contribution will go to fund the program(s) or capital need(s) of your choice. Methodist Health Foundation is sustained by an endowment created to cover general operating costs. Thus, the impact of your gift will not be diminished by the costs associated with staffing and operating the Foundation.
