Task Core
Between October 5, 1984, and the spring of 1985, a small group of community volunteers met with Methodist Hospital administration to discuss the establishment of “an organization of dynamic and committed women of the community to support Methodist Hospital.”
They identified the areas of education, public relations and fund raising as the most appropriate for service. By becoming knowledgeable about Methodist Hospital and making a public commitment toward its promotion, these Task Core members became ambassadors of the highest quality.Fund raising has been and remains a significant part of Task Core’s mission. Such endeavors have included dinner dances, greeting card and jewelry sales and research of a cookbook project. The annual Indianapolis Art & Antiques Show is Task Core’s largest fund raiser and has allowed the organization to make significant contributions to Methodist Hospital and its education and community programs.
